ABSTRACT

The pandemic COVID-19 has brought changes in Indonesian consumer behaviour. Brands in Indonesia need to invest in Instagram advertisements to cope with the change in consumers' behaviour during the pandemic COVID-19. This study investigates the impact of Instagram's advertising effectiveness on building consumers' attitudes on brand and purchase intention. This study adopts a quantitative method through an online survey of 446 respondents. The data were analyzed using structural equation modelling (SEM). The result stated that entertainment and personalization positively influence millennial attitude toward Instagram advertising, and consumers' attitude toward Instagram advertising also positively influences their attitude toward the brand and regards their purchase intention. The study contributed to the advertising literature by extending the research on Instagram advertising and branding. This study contributes to the managerial application by enabling brands and marketers to create effective Instagram advertising that will lead to a positive response from consumers toward a brand. © 2023 EDP Sciences. ABSTRACT

During the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia, examination and relaying of important health information were done with the support of information technology. Therefore, this study measures information technology (IT) within hospitals through IT adoption and IT integration. The study uses data of 752 accredited in Indonesia. The study uses a descriptive analysis and ANOVA to identify the score of different locations, classes, and accreditations of hospitals to determine whether there are any associations or significant differences between the top- and lower-class hospitals. The results indicate that hospital classes A, B, C, and D in Indonesia apply information processing related to the storage, retrieval, sharing, and use of health services information for communication and significant decision-making. However, there are no significant distinction in the prevalence of IT usage among these hospitals. This study contributes to the understanding of the current rate of adoption and integration of information technology resources. © The Author(s) 2022.

ABSTRACT

Purpose: This research aims to study whether there is a relationship between stock influencers and financial well-be-ing on stock market participation. Design/methodology/approach: The research method used in this research is quantitative, with 184 respondents spread over six major islands in Indonesia. The data is processed with SmartPLS 3.0 software. Findings: The study results show a positive and significant influence between stock influencers and financial well-be-ing on stock market participation mediated by intention to invest. However, the direct relationship between stock influencers and financial well-being to stock market participation was found to have no effect. Research limitations/implications: This research contributes to the development of financial studies related to capital market participation in Indonesia which is still very limited. The government needs to pay attention to stock influencers and financial well-being, which can significantly impact stock market participation. Socialization and education programs can be carried out informally in collaboration with influencers and focus on increasing knowledge about stocks and managing personal and household finances. Originality/value: This study adopts variables to capture new phenomena that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic. © The Author(s).

ABSTRACT

Purpose: This study aims to examine the impact of dynamic capabilities and organizational resilience on firm performance driven by environmental turbulence of the hotel industry in Indonesia during the pandemic COVID-19. Design/methodology/approach: Herein, an integrated conceptual framework is developed and then tested using survey data from a cross-section of 194 hotels using structural equation modelling. Findings: The result of this research reveals that environmental turbulence significantly affects dynamic capabilities empirically. In other words, the dynamic capabilities affect organizational resilience, however, there is no significant effect from organizational resilience to hotel performance. This shows an indication of survival mode in the hotel industry in Indonesia. Research limitations/implications: This study extends theoretically the concept of organizational resilience in the context of environmental turbulence especially during pandemic COVID-19. Practical implication of this study jus-tifies that during such crisis, it is imperative for the organizations to focus on survival rather than financial performance. Originality/value: This study introduces the antecedents of organizational resilience, namely the dynamic capabilities and environmental turbulence in the context of pandemic COVID-19. It also advances the knowledge on how the hotel industry can be managed during that period. © 2022 People and Global Business Association.

The research proposes a research model that answers the needs of e-business SMEs in Indonesia to survive the Covid-19 pandemic by maintaining or even improving their innovation performance with IT capabilities and dynamic capabilities. The results of this study are in the form of a new model that can provide input and suggestions to culinary businesses in Indonesia in improving Innovation Performance through Dynamic Capability, IT Ambidexterity, in Environmental Uncertainty. This research is expected to provide added value and benefits to solve innovation performance problems in e-business SMEs in Indonesia. In this study, the main issues were environmental uncertainty, low information technology capabilities, and low dynamic capabilities resulting in low innovation performance. © 2021 IEEE.

Purpose – the purpose of this study is to see factors influencing employee retention in hospitality industry and the mediation of service organizational citizenship behaviour (Service OCB) in the relationship of GRIT and fairness to retention. Design/methodology/approach – This research is a quantitative research with descriptive and verificative approach. Data collection method is conducted through online survey using questionnaire instrument. Stratified random sampling is applied to determine the sampling method. Sample size from Bartlett categorical data was used in order to obtain the number needed. Data collected is analysed by structural equation model- partial least square (SEM-PLS). the analyses including validity, reliability and hypothesis testing. Findings- The findings of this study show that grit has a positive influence on Service OCB. Grit fails to show a direct influence to retention, the relationship is mediated by service OCB. Fairness has a positive influence direct and indirectly to retention. Originality of the research – This study provides empirical evidence of the influence of GRIT and Fairness to service OCB, and relationship between fairness and service OCB toward retention. © IEOM Society International.

Indonesia’s employee turnover rate is rising whilst employee retention within Indonesia is lowering. The purpose of this study is to analyse the retention rate of hotel employees during the COVID-19 pandemic, based on the characteristics of respondents of this demographic which is: Hotel star rating, position, department, gender, age, education, years of work experience, total length of work, working experience as a supervisor or manager. This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection method is conducted through online survey using questionnaire. Stratified random sampling is used for obtaining data and the Bartlett categorical data formula is used to determine the amount of data. Data collected is analysed by SPSS for validity, reliability, descriptive analysis and cross tabulation. The findings of this study show that characteristic attributes employees of 5-star hotels, managerial position, front office department, male gender, age 26-35 years, bachelor's education, work 2 years, total work over 10 years, and work experience 2-5 years as supervisor or manager have high retention rates. ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research is to study Quality of Experience and Flow of Experience and their influence on Behavioral Intentions to visit natural and rural destinations for the millennial generation. A total of 156 respondents were assessed and valid for further analysis. The result is that the Quality of Experience determines the satisfaction and behavioral intentions of millennials. Meanwhile, it is recommended that flow of experience be used to influence satisfaction because it has no effect on behavioral intention. The results also show how satisfaction can be a strong mediation of the two independent variables on behavioral intention. This study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a Partial Least Square approach using SMARTPLS 3.0. The population of this research is millennials in the Jakarta area and its surroundings. The questionnaire was run while Jakarta was implementing the Health Protocol for distance and movement restrictions to avoid the spread of Covid-19.
